Ukrainian TV Channel Encryption in 2020

Many of our viewers were concerned about reports that Ukrainian TV channels would become encrypted in early 2020. Ukrainian broadcasters aired announcements warning viewers that they would soon need to pay additional fees to continue watching these channels. However, these changes did not affect Kartina TV subscribers. Our viewers could continue enjoying Ukrainian TV channels at the same subscription price.

The announcements were related to changes in satellite television broadcasting in Ukraine, including services such as Viasat. Since the same channel feeds were used across different broadcasting platforms, the notifications appeared in the streams received by viewers outside Ukraine as well.

There's no need to worry — Kartina TV is committed to protecting its subscribers' interests.
